NEW! Bill's Blog
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website. I hope you'll visit regularly, and if you have any topics of interest you want to share with me, you can contact me through this website.
However (and here comes the disclaimer), any content contained herein does not necessarily reflect the views of my employers (City of Anaheim and Moulton Niguel Water District) and should be considered my view and opinion only. Moulton Niguel Water District
William “Bill” Moorhead
Occupation: Principal Water Engineer
I was elected Director of the Moulton Niguel Water District Board in 2018. As Director, my focus is on stabilizing water and sewer rates for the District's customers and the challenges we will face with an aging infrastructure. Many new challenges have arisen with drought cycles and uncertainty over imported water supplies. My in-depth experience, management of many complex projects, and support of fiscal responsibility to ensure fair and equitable water rates for our customers makes me an invaluable servant to the community. I bring to the MNWD Board more than 44 years of experience in the fields of water/wastewater operations, engineering and water quality:
Principal Water Engineer for Anaheim, the largest City in Orange County.
Registered Civil Engineer.
Master’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
Licensed at the highest level in both water and wastewater operations.
A customer of MNWD for 30 years and member of their Citizens Advisory Committee, active in addressing water/wastewater issues in our community.
Involvement in various professional organizations including, President of the Orange County Water Association and Chairman of the Technical Certification Program for the California Water Environment Association, allows me to provide insight for MNWD’s customers concerning local, regional and state water issues for the 21st Century.
Committee Member for Orange County Infrastructure Report on Potable Water.
Member of South Orange County Watershed Management Area Executive Committee
Volunteer within the community, including four-year board member of Model United Nations Program, Mission Viejo High School.
Delegate for Lake Mission Viejo Association.
I look forward to serving my community and welcome your questions, concerns and input regarding water issues affecting all of us.
